Le Corbusier at Chandigarh

'I say it with pride.  Finally here at 67 years of age ...I was able to erect an architecture which fulfills day to day function but which leads to jubilation.' -Le Corbusier.  Unfortunately what many consider Corbusier's crowning achievement is falling into disrepair and being stripped of all things Corbusier. Even a manhole cover fetched $21,000 on the international market.  Go see it while you still can.  The Chandigarh administration is seeking World Heritage Site status from UNESCO.
